What does your education background look like?
I hold a Bachelor of Science in Dietetics and a Master of Professional Practice in Dietetics from Iowa State University. After completing my education, I successfully sat for the exam to become a nationally registered dietitian and am licensed to practice the state of Iowa. My academic journey has equipped me with the knowledge and skills to excel in the field of dietetics.
What does your work experience look like?
With a background as a clinical dietitian at Nebraska Methodist Hospital in Omaha, I have gained valuable experience in providing nutritional care. I now serve as a dietitian in the NICU, the Children's Hospital, as well as in the mother trauma, mother-baby, and antepartum units.
What do your credentials mean?
Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) -- this is the national level credential title for this profession. It signifies the education, supervised practice, and board examination that we take.

Licensed Dietitian (LD) -- this is the licensure title in the state of Iowa to legally practice as a dietitian. ​​
​
Master of Professional Practice in Dietetics (MPPD) -- this is the title given upon completion of the master's degree that I hold.
